Dumpling House

My girlfriend and I loved our experience at Dumpling House. The fact that ordering food from the web app is fantastic - especially since everyone at a table can add food to the order from their own phones with the given QR code. There was only one person working all the tables; but given that orders were placed through the web app, this allowed them to serve all tables while orders were placed. The server went above and beyond in terms of making sure our glasses were always full, that we had time to look at the menu, and check in to see how we enjoyed our food. She was friendly, kind, and didn’t hover when we made our order through the app. When we got our food, it arrived quick, and in a manner that allowed us to try each dish. Each dish we ordered from the pork dumplings to the fried wontons were amazing and straight from the kitchen. The next time we’re back in San Francisco, we’re coming back here. The ambiance was quiet with calm music, perfect for talking in a group setting. We loved the food, we loved the service, this is my favorite lunch place in the Bay Area.

This place was a great find right next to Barry’s Castro! Went based on the waitlist and there was no wait! Good: - The food to value ratio was great! - I loved the zhajiang noodles, the sauce was so tasty - The XLB here was also super soupy and came with 6 - The bbq bun was really good, good texture and soft bun - Nice place to go to with friends, super chill casual ambiance Bad: - The wait was pretty long for food! Overall this place was a hidden gem!

This place has a good-looking menu that caught my attention while looking for dinner in the area. I tried the fresh shrimp and leek dumplings, which were all-around excellent -- great texture and great/interesting flavors. I can say the same thing about the vegetable and meat buns -- they were almost burger-esque in flavor. I got quick service on a Saturday evening, and I'd be plenty happy to go back next time I'm around.

During my visit to Dumpling House in San Francisco, I had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes, including the crystal shrimp dumpling, fresh shrimp with pork dumpling, cream custard bun, Original XLB, shrimp toast, and pan-fried turnip cake. While some dishes stood out, the overall experience was somewhat mediocre with nothing particularly impressive. The cream custard bun and shrimp toast were the highlights of the meal. The cream custard bun had a delightful, rich filling, while the shrimp toast offered a tasty combination of flavors. However, the other dishes failed to leave a lasting impression and were lacking the wow factor. The service at Dumpling House was average, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant enough for a casual dining experience.

Dumpling house is one of many dim sum restaurants here in San Fransisco but to me, and a lot of people, highly regarded as one of if not the best in the city. Not only is it easy on your wallet but the food was so delicious and comforting. Biting into some of the food felt like being a baby cradled by your mother with a blanket on a cold day. It was seriously all so delicious but my favorite dishes were the chicken wings and the bbq pork bun. I cannot describe how good those wings were but I sadly didn’t take a picture but please, take my word for it, it’s worth every single penny.
